What Would MacGyver Do?

Writer/director/producer Lee Zlotoff, creator of MacGyver,  is my guest on episode 6 of the Discover Grow Shinecast.

We begin the conversation with Lee’s quick synopsis of the backstory to the creation of the MacGyver and then we spend a few minutes talking about the value of an education that develops the ability to think across disciplines and connect-the-dots. As you know, connecting the dots between disparate ideas is one of my favorite things.

The bulk of our conversation is about Lee’s approach to creative problem solving which he’s labeled the MacGyver Method. When I first heard about Lee’s MacGyver Method on the Unmistakeable Creative podcast, I was so excited because it’s so similar to my own approach to finding solutions to big challenges.

Finally, we talk about something new that Lee has in the works, Storymyn.

Storymyn (no website yet) is a new technology to develop personalized fiction that will help someone achieve a personal transformation. Fasciating stuff.

And Lee shares an update on the search for a new female character in the MacGyver mold.
